根據印度新聞媒體indianautosblog.com報道，印度TOYOTA 已經準備在2018年推出全新一代TOYOTA VIOS，全新的VIOS將會全球同意車款，不再分亞洲，中國和歐美車款。這也意味著全新一代TOYOTA VIOS 會在全球同一時期發布和陸續上市，當然這也包括我國在內。

The Toyota Vios is midway through its lifecycle and received a facelift in China last year and in Thailand this year. It』s quite strange how Toyota has to ping it to the Indian market towards the end of its lifecycle. The report says that the Toyota Vios will have its Indian debut at the Auto Expo 2018 in Fepuary and go on sale in April 2018.
The current Toyota Vios is a considerably larger car than the Etios, measuring 4,410 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height.
It also states that Toyota Kirloskar Motor has placed orders for components of its next-generation Vios, which further affirms its introduction in India. It will pack two new engines: a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which could either be manufactured at Toyota』s upcoming engine plant in Jigani, Karnataka or imported in some form from Thailand.
報也導指出，新VIOS將完全不同，印度版的VIOS 將會採用1.6公升汽油和柴油引擎，取代原本的1.5公升引擎。確定明年一月發布！
印度版Vios的新汽油估計是來自上一代Corolla Altis的VVT-i ZR引擎，而柴油引擎可能來自法國PSA Peugeot Citroen集團開發的DLD柴油引擎。
雖然把Corolla Altis的動力系統下放是讓人覺得開心的消息，但考慮到成本問題，我們保守估計我國Vios將採用最近應用到潤飾款Avanza的Dual VVT-i 1.5公升引擎。最終新Vios將會是什麼動力配置？還是要等到豐田親自來公布了。
