Five Obnoxiously Common Pokemon GO Spawns Took Over the Map.
1. Murkrow
Type: Dark/Flying
CP | 1392 |
ATK | 175 |
DEF | 87 |
STA | 120 |
Murkrow may as well be the new Pidgey of the Johto set. In Gold and Silver, you can’t catch Murkrow until Kanto, and then only at night in a single tiny field. So it’s a bit surprising that the hatted crow is suddenly underfoot at all hours. This is depressing too, since he’s actually a somewhat-interesting dark-type Pokemon. Eventually, Murkrow may see value in its evolution to the mob boss, Honchkrow, but since it didn’t show up until the Diamond and Pearl days, it seems like we may have to wait months, even years before all these Murkrows will have some sort of purpose.
2. Wooper
Type: Ground/Water
CP | 596 |
ATK | 75 |
DEF | 75 |
STA | 110 |
Pokemon GO has got to tone down the Woopers. Sure, they’re cute and flippy and evolve into the tank, Quagsire, but honestly, Quagsire is a common enough spawn that players found dozens of him and never needed all the Woopers the game is still chucking at players.
3. Sentret
Type: Normal
CP | 519 |
ATK | 79 |
DEF | 77 |
STA | 70 |
we had Sentrets everywhere in Johto, and now they’re everywhere in the real world, too, gumming up our streets with their long stripey tails and taking the place of perfectly good Chikoritas and Dratinis. Like Wooper, even their evolution, Furret, is all-too-common for players to bother with even catching Sentret to evolve.
4. Paras
Type: Bug/Grass
CP | 836 |
ATK | 121 |
DEF | 99 |
STA | 70 |
Paras being one of the more common spawns, wow, why do they have to be absolutely everywhere? They have been one of the most common spawns since Pokemon GO launched. They don’t seem to be one of the rotating spawns that goes in and out but are instead just this weird bug that keeps showing up in urban area despite they definitely prefer forests.
5. Natu
Type: Psychic/Flying
CP | 925 |
ATK | 134 |
DEF | 89 |
STA | 80 |
Finally, another bafflingly common Pokemon that’s much more elusive in the games. Natu appears in Pokemon Gold and Silver if you manage to find a secret cave entrance in the Ruins of Alph and sneak around through Union Cave to a small patch of grass that also houses Smeargle and Girafarig.
