Blissey Moveset Defender Test ( ZH/DG vs P/HB)
Blissey is unquestionably the top 1 defender in the current meta
Blissey does not really have a "bad" defensive moveset. All defending Blissey movesets perform exceptionally well against the majority of attackers.
- Pound and Hyper Beam synergize the best for maximum damage output. You need to output as much damage as possible before time runs out.
- All other move combinations are sub-par damage wise. You don’t really have to worry about dodging with Blissey so move duration is not a primary concern.
- Dazzling Gleam hits more frequently, quicker, and is super effective against some of her best counters: Dragon (Dragonite), Dark (Tyranitar), and Fighting (Machamp).
- Hyper Beam has the overall highest damage output. Battles against a defending Blissey typically last longer, meaning that Hyper Beam will usually be used at least 2-3 times a battle. However, it's the easiest to consistently dodge.
- Zen Headbutt slightly outperforms Pound. Zen Headbutt has better type coverage, deals more damage and generates energy quicker on defense.
- Psychic is sub-par in almost every way except that it's the hardest to dodge.
