Two Fire Type Pokemon that Every Trainer Must Have
Fire Pokemon have always been a popular choice among Pokemon fans, but they tend to have limited uses in Pokemon Go. With so many gyms dominated by Water Pokemon, it can be difficult to use Fire Pokemon in battle. However, Fire Pokemon can act as strong gym defenders, acting as a deterrent to Grass and Ice Types that would otherwise run through popular defenders.
Arcanine ( high Stamina and Attack stats)
Max CP: 2839
Best Moveset: Fire Fang/Fire Blast
Arcanine can both take and give out a lot of damage thanks to its high Stamina and Attack stats. Although Arcanine doesn't have the best movesets (it notably can't learn either Fire Spin or Overheat), it's still a useful gym defender due to its naturally high HP. Arcanine's best used towards the top of a gym, where it can absorb damage and finish off whatever Pokemon are left after a lengthy battle.
Flareon (There are only five Pokemon (not included legendary pokemon) with higher Attack Stats than Flareon)
Max CP: 2904
Best Moveset: Fire Spin/Overheat
There are only five Pokemon (not included legendary pokemon) with higher Attack Stats than Flareon in all of
Pokemon Go. With access to the best moveset, Flareon would probably be the most useful of all the Eeveelutions...if not for a woefully low Stamina stat. It's low HP means that it's not a very good gym defender, but don't be afraid to pull Flareon out when you want to quickly clear through the opening levels of a gym.
