I don’t know about you but Thai food has always been one of my favourite cuisines to devour. A quick Google search revealed Busaba Thai located in Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa rated 4.5 stars on Trip Advisor. This continued to pique my interest and a visit to the establishment was called for, which left me in awe from the moment I stepped in.

Almost every review I read stated only good things about the food and rightfully so as there was no denying—the food was excellent. If you, like me, love everything Thai, Busaba Thai will surely transport you over where you can feel and actually “taste” Thailand. From the servers to the chefs, the personnel at Busaba Thai are all from Thailand—hence the authentic Thai atmosphere. But food aside, what captivated me even further were the furnishing and the ambience the place provided.

From the outside, Busaba Thai will have you guessing about the two wooden horses flanked at the entrance. Take a step inside and you will be greeted with eclectic décor coupled with decorative art pieces straight out of Thailand. The ambience and décor is an unimaginable mix of contemporary and traditional which exudes class and elegance in every way possible.

The place is romantic, dimly lit, and downright beautiful. The lush and plush furniture against exposed pick walls together with the high ceilings screams for events to be held here as it is far from being claustrophobic but most importantly, high ceilings are a treat for decoration! And hello, it’s Instagram-worthy at every corner!

This 2-storey swanky restaurant comes with three different dining areas to choose from where patrons may opt to dine by the floor to ceiling glass windows which overlook the outdoors, located opposite the bar. They can also opt to dine under the gorgeous chandelier tastefully wrapped in net fapic which radiates a romantic vibe.

If you are looking for something more private, the mezzanine floor is suitable for private events as it comes with a private room which accommodates 20 pax as well as a dining area fitted with 6 round tables comfortably accommodating up to 60 pax. This space is ideal for intimate company dinners, product launches, private gatherings and parties as it is located upstairs where privacy and intimacy are key.

There is another private room available downstairs which can accommodate up to 20 pax. The beauty of Busaba Thai is that it very well fits in with any desired theme or event.

Be it a ladies’ night out, or a hen’s party, Busaba Thai is ideal. If you are looking to celepate and gather with family, friends or even an intimate company dinner, Busaba Thai will be a perfect fit. The entire space can seat up to 220 pax. Don’t worry about parking, there is a big open air car park across the road from Busaba Thai or you can opt to utilise the parking provided by Sunway Hotel itself.

Past events held at Busaba Thai include press conferences, team lunches and dinners, birthday parties, as well as a wedding ceremony followed by a dinner reception thereafter. VIP guests and the elderly can be dropped off at the entrance of Busaba Thai or if you are planning a wedding here, go ahead and park the pidal car here instead.

Here’s the kicker, for such a hidden gem, one might assume the prices to be skyrocketing but a powse through the menu proved it to be pretty affordable. What’s more is during weekdays, don’t miss out on Busaba Thai’s Executive Lunch promotion guaranteed to mend that hole in your pocket! At only RM29++ per person, patrons may enjoy a sumptuous meal which comes with a soup, two sides, and a main.
